The Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre's series of clinics continues in June with two at which participants will be allowed to bring their own horses for the first time. The sessions are aimed at providing help and advice to the owners of Thoroughbred horses. They are held at the charity's headquarters near Lancaster, led by trainer and yard director Julie Robinson, and are limited to five people each time.

The next clinics are on Wednesday June 18 and 25.

The format of the days will include advice on training methods, common problems, feeding and exercising the Thoroughbred. Participants will, by arrangement, be able to bring their own horse.

Julie Robinson said: "The clinics will be invaluable for those wanting direct input with their horse and also for those who are interested in observing horses being schooled and retrained."

The days run from 10am until 3pm and include lunch and light refreshments. The cost is £100, with some overnight stabling available.

As places are limited, so it is advisable to book well in advance by calling the TRC's office number, 01524 812649, and speaking to Nicky McDonald. Participants must be over 18.
