The third Chartwell Charity Polo Day will be held at Beaufort Polo Club on Saturday June 14, in aid of the Tetbury-based cancer charity Hope for Tomorrow. It is part of a drive to raise £30,000 to fund a second mobile chemotherapy unit.

Launched by charity patron Stirling Moss OBE last year, the first unit has been an overwhelming success, alleviating the stress of patients having to endure long, tiring journeys for treatment.

Charity founder Christine Mills, who lost her husband to cancer in 2002 said, “We have some wonderful fundraising activities organized this year, including the Chartwell Polo Day and hope to see many of our supporters and friends there. Our aim is to have the second unit built this year, an ambitious project, but seeing the difference our first unit has made to patients and carers, it is a goal we are determined to achieve. So please come along and support us.”

Tickets are available to all polo enthusiasts as well as those wanting to support the charity. Guests will enjoy a champagne reception, followed by a three-course gourmet lunch with wine and each ticket also includes a grandstand seat. After the polo matches and presentations, guests will enjoy afternoon tea.

Tickets are available at £90 per guest, or £850 for a table of 10, from the Beaufort Polo Club on 01666 880510, or Hope for Tomorrow on 01666 505055.
