Triple Olympic dressage rider Richard Davison will be holding a dressage masterclass at the British Open Show Jumping Championships this April – together with members of his family.
Richard will be joined by his wife Gillian, who has ridden internationally at Grand Prix level, and his show jumping son Joe, current British National Under-18s champion.
Together they hope to demonstrate a range of training tips to help riders hoping to improve in dressage and those wanting to use it to best effect in other equestrian disciplines.
Gillian Davison will be taking riding either Grand Prix dressage horse Hiscox Komanchi or Hiscox Aliano.
Joe Davison will partner one of his show jumpers Egano Star or Lantino for the display. He also hopes to qualify Egano Star for the World Class Development Championship which takes place on April 8.
Richard will use the two pupils to highlight the importance of dressage as a basis for all equestrian disciplines and demonstrate a range of training tips showing how fun and uncomplicated dressage can be.
The dressage masterclass is on the Friday of the event (April 9), which runs from April 7-10 at Birmingham’s NEC.
