Renown US equine massage therapist Jim Masterson is flying to Britain in June for a series of teaching sessions.

Jim was Integrated Equine Performance Bodyworker for the US Equestrian Team at the 06 World Games and 08 World Endurance Championships, and is founder of the Masterson method of equine bodywork.

Equine Therapist Jim recognised that horses exhibit certain responses to human touch as they relax and release tension in the body.

He’s spent the last eight years perfecting an integrative technique of equine massage, which incorporates manipulation, acupressure, neuromuscular release and cranial sacral therapy, and most importantly, feel and response from the horse to get a release of stress and return of full range of movement to muscles and joints.

He now treats horses from all levels and disciplines including top level international show jumpers, Nations Cup and World Cup horses.

Jim will hold clinics in Bristol and Cambridge. Participants can learn specific techniques to increase their horse’s performance and how to use the horse’s response to guide treatment.

The clinics are aimed at riders, trainers and therapists and numbers are strictly limited to enable Jim to give one-to-one attention. This is Jim’s fourth visit to the UK and clinics fill up quickly so early booking is advisable.

Jim is also available to treat individual horses.
