Polocrosse is a fast and exciting equestrian sport best described as lacrosse on horseback. It’s great to play and exciting to watch.
Now you can see the best of it in action at a two-day International Test Match series in July, between South Africa and the UK.
International polocrosse test matches are one of the most exciting ways to watch polocrosse being played. Teams draw on tactics, skill and all their horsemanship abilities (they ride the same horse for the whole tournament) to help them win the series.
South Africa will be fielding one of their strongest teams to try to beat the best of Britain.
The two teams recently clashed in Australia during the Quadrangular Tour where South Africa beat the UK by just 1 goal. So, the UK team are determined to beat them in order to climb back above them in the world rankings - it promises to be an adrenaline-fuelled event.
The test matches take place on July 18 & 19 at 2pm. There will be stalls, games, demonstrations, carriage driving, domestic polocrosse matches and entertainment to enjoy before each big game, so be sure to arrive early, gates open at 10am.
Entry to this great family day out is £15 per car and you can join Ashfields and the International players for the Saturday Night Players’ Party, tickets £20 or spoil yourself in the exclusive VIP area.
Tickets for the VIP area are £70. Guests can enjoy the best viewpoints, VIP lounge, dining area, three-course ala Carte menu, jazz band, private bar, private washroom and reserved parking.
The event takes place at Ashfields Polocrosse Club, Great Canfield, Dunmow, Essex. Breast Cancer Campaign is the official charity.
