Olympia ticket sales defy credit crunch

Over 14,000 tickets for Olympia, The London International Horse Show have been sold in the first two weeks of box office opening, showing loyal fans are bucking the trends of the credit crunch.
14,157 tickets have been purchased so far, an increase of over 30% on last year’s total at the same time.
Show organiser Simon Brooks-Ward says: “It’s a testament to the success of Olympia over the years that ticket sales are higher than ever, even in the midst of a tough economy. We’d like to thank all our customers and supporters for helping to make Olympia the show that it is and we can assure you that this year’s event will not disappoint.”
Commenting on why he thought Olympia had such broad appeal, Simon added: “We pay a great deal of attention to the production of this event – we know it has to compete in the Christmas entertainment market so we ensure that it delivers fantastic entertainment value. It has become a part of the Christmas tradition for many, shown by our thousands of loyal supporters. Alongside the UK’s only FEI World Cup™ Dressage and Jumping qualifiers, there are also excellent jumping competitions, equestrian displays and, of course, our world famous Christmas finale.”
Olympia, The London International Horse Show has a full seven day programme this year, following its centenary celebrations in 2007. The show opens on the evening of Tuesday 16th December with the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Qualifier Grand Prix presented by The Berkeley Group plc and supported by Horse and Hound, and runs through to Monday 22nd December.

Tickets for The Olympia London International Horse Show are priced between £23 and £49 (£23, £33, £43, £49) with various discounts available for groups, seniors and children.
