BSJA Area 25, Kingswood EC and Prescott EC have today agreed to the running of a £1000 winter novice rider’s tour from October 2008 through to March 2009. The tour will be run over every British Novice and Discovery class, on a point basis, at both centres this winter and is open to all members of the BSJA around the country.
“I thought it was time to pool our resources and attract riders into the Area, helping to sway their choice this winter,” said Rob Lickley from Kingswood. “I approached June from Prescott and Graham from Area 25 to help make it happen.”
June Haydon, of Prescott EC commented, “It is wonderful to finally get something off the ground which will help our centres and help the local region as a whole.”
Graham Hudson, BSJA Area 25 Rep said, “It is great to see two local centres work together to help Area 25 deliver its policy of support to all Area 25 members and I am pleased that Area 25 is contributing half of the prize fund to this end.”
The tour leader board will be served up via the internet, with printouts offered at each centre at the start of a show. Kingswood has also announced the installation of a new Andrews Bowen Pro Wax™ surface in time for the start of the winter season.
Prescott opens the tour on Sunday October 12, with Kingswood starting the following weekend of 18th and 19th October.
Points may be won at all dates from this point onwards, including Prescott’s Thursday evening shows.
