The Flying Frenchman Lorenzo returns to Olympia 2008

Olympia, The London International Horse Show (16th-22nd December) has confirmed Lorenzo, ‘the flying Frenchman’, and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery as this year's action-packed display acts.

Lorenzo and his team of 10 horses will be performing at Olympia from Wednesday 17th–Monday 22nd December. His fantastic demonstration of stunt riding and tricks, which includes flying over jumps standing on the back of his grey Lusitano horses, relies solely on his incredible bond with his horses.

The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery will be performing its famous Musical Drive from Thursday 18th–Monday 22nd December. Twenty-six horses take part in the performance, comprising breathtaking choreography that includes the renowned ‘scissors’ manoeuvre, where the whole Troop ‘criss crosses’ at the gallop, whilst pulling four one-and-a-half tonne guns, all of which were used in action in World War One.

The popular Osborne Refrigerators Shetland Pony Grand National will also be back. Since its inception, this yearly series of races which culminates at Olympia has raised £350,000 for charity. The chosen charity for 2008 is Great Ormond Street Hospital. 

Olympia, The London International Horse Show has a full seven-day programme this year, following its centenary celebrations in 2007. The show opens on the evening of Tuesday 16th December with the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Qualifier Grand Prix and runs through to Monday 22nd December.
