Hungry? Tired? Curl up in front of the TV with some energyboosting grub and you’ll be raring to mount up and show off your new and improved riding skills.
Snacks
Avoid high sugar, fast energy-release snacks like chocolate and cakes, and instead go for dried fruit, mixed unsalted nuts, rice cakes, fresh fruit and oat cakes topped with honey.
Healthy breakfasts
Low sugar muesli, wholegrain toast, porridge – or just a banana if you’re in a rush – are all good sources of slow-release energy that will keep you fuller for longer while giving you energy for mucking out.
TV dinners
Instead of high-fat comfort foods, go for soup, baked potatoes, vegetable stir-fries, steamed fish and vegetables.
