All horses have the potential to be spooky when they’re out hacking, and nothing knocks a rider’s confidence more. If there’s one group of riders who know all about making sure a horse is as safe as can be, it’s the mounted police.

Officers from the Manchester Mounted Police demonstrate how you can help your horse come to terms with all the things he might meet out and about.
