Renowned Western rider Dave Deptford and dressage star Paul Hayler got together for a demo with a difference at Your Horse Live in November.

The pair of them demonstrated the similarities between the two disciplines, and how reining and sliding stops actually combine many of the same skills needed to perform advanced dressage movements.

In this video, filmed for us by the Country Channel, the two riders discuss what it was like riding each other’s horses.
