Lucky Your Horse reader Gillian Donohoe won the chance to have a lesson with top instructor and eventer Chris Bartle at Your Horse Live 2007. Riding her 14-year-old 16.2hh KWPN Dutch Warmblood in front of hundreds of spectators, Chris uses the private lesson to help Gillian improve her dressage. With an ambition to compete in a British Eventing one-day event, Gillian hopes Chris can help her to overcome Ludo's tendancy to become tense and offer tips on how to improve his performance in the dressage phase. Chris offers some enlightening advice on a horse and rider's individual responsibilities within their partnership.
