In 2007 Carl Hester and Ann Cory’s 13-year-old, 17.1hh Donnerhall gelding Dolendo was crowned British National Champion. Yet as a youngster he was a ‘horror’ and his competitive career didn’t go to plan! Riding this fantastic horse, Carl explains what it takes to be the best and what your dressage training should encompass if you want to make it to the top. He also demonstrates some of the more difficult Grand Prix movements.
