My 15 year old cob is lame more often than she is sound. This has only started in the last year and can be any leg. In October she had an abscess in her hoof which was slow to heal but recovered completely within a few months. Usually she is not reluctant to move around on the leg, but there is only heat sometimes; she nods her head when being ridden. She is ridden 6 days a week during term-time but has rarely jumped in the last year. Any ideas what could be causing this?
