My two year old Thoroughbred has a growth inside her eye, its really irregular, reminds me of fungus, I've seen it before in horses, What it is and should i be worried? It doesn't seem to be affecting her sight.

I don't think its a saroid as its inside the eye, rather than externally. When I look into her eye its at the top of the iris where the colour inside her eye changes from deep blue to dark brown.

Hey. I would definitely have your horse checked out by a vet. My horse had sarcoids once and he never got it in the eye. Well. if it is what we found worked was honey. Feed your horse a table spoon of honey a day. Though sarcoids are very common in horses under 4 years of age so if you are right, rhapsody, about sarcoids in eyes then it could possibly be. You should seek medical advice definitely anyway. Good Luck! Cindy33

I would have it vet checked in case it is some kind of sarcoid, I have heard that they often develop at the eye but I've never seen one. Best have it checked out just in case.
