I recently bought a 9 year old thoroughbred that was sold to me as a gelding from a jumping yard. Prior to that he was a racehorse. We think he may be a rig and are getting a blood test to find out. If he does turn out to be a rig then do I have any options legally to recover some of the costs I paid for him to help me with the cost of an operation? Also, who is actually responsible? His previous owners? My vet who did a 5 stage vetting or the vet that gelded him in the first place?
