hi there, i am a vet nurse and there is no reason a vet wouldn't sell you frontline, it is no longer controlled, it can be sold over the counter to anyone, i can't comment on it's safety or effectiveness. Some vets may not want to give it to you due toconcerns as to the safety, but many pet shops also sell it now as it is a product that is much les effetive against parasites than other products on the market.

Please don't tell me ANYONE still buys Frontline from the Vet? Buy it on line or from the local Agricultural merchant at half the price - PLEASE!! recurrent mites can be treated by Flypor, a cow fly and louse killer that has exactly the same ingredients as Switch, which, due to being marketed for horses, is four times the price. Flypor is a great treatment if you turn out in tick infested areas, too. It also happens to be great for Sweet Itch, and because you put it on the withers and rump it doesn't affect sore heels or anything. Again, Flypor is from agricultural Merchants or online and be prepared to say how many cows you have and what weights they are, as it is not supposed to be for horse use. I usually say we have 6 cows between 350kg and 700kg, well, the piebalds look like cows, don't they?
