my mare had cellulitis as an added complication to a very bad leg injury she received about 4 yrs ago.we were guided by our vet,as you should be,but we also applied manuka honey 30+ strength to the leg with some amazing results,even our vet was impressed and now uses it in her surgery.This honey applied directly to the affected part has great healing and antibiotic properties to it which are quite,in my opinon,impressive.My mare has never had anouther bout and is now fit and healthy.I hope this helps,for more info look it up on the internet
