yes with good management. Have the feet trimmed reegularly, pick them out often and try to provide an area where him can stand on some dry ground (in the field shelter perhaps).  Theres also a lotion by carr day and martin that pervents thrush, i forget whats its called, but you should find it at a good tack shop
