I have been using a new product called easeflex equine,  you can ask your local vet for it, Alstoe animal health makes it,  it looks just like small pony cubes, I don't have to mix it with his food as he takes it straight from my hand, he actually comes over to me when I rattle the tub, as he is on quite a strict diet, it is perfect as I don't have to mix it with food like the powder, more importantly, over the last 2 months I  can see a real imrovement in his walk, he even started to jump around in the field more! It has got glucosamine and chondroitin in it, with MSN, not quite sure what that does, but it definately works, give it a try and let me know how you get on, Gillian 

 can i ask where she has arthritis? it sounds daft, and maybe not practical for some, but with my arthrtic mare, she was temporarily brought out of work, and fed cosequin equine every other day, a dosage which was established over time after initial dosages of three scoops daily.  she has arthritis in her hock, and i found constant access to grazing to exercise herself in the field and no ridden work has helped her. it can get to the stage with joint conditions were thats all you can do - it's not always good to work through the pain, but just work with the pain and moderate the general workload.  cosequin is expensive, and like i said i don't know if its practical, but i can guarantee on the long run, its cheaper for grazing access to let nature do some fusion by itself, and let the joint have a bit of a re-boot if you please :P

the mian things to look out for in supplements is a good glucosamine and chondroditin content. x
