Hello thank you all for your comments. I found he had a sore back when he started bucking rearing and napping under the saddle two days after getting him home we noticed him tail swishing and holding his head really really high. On the ground he was a gem, we had a saddle fitted to him so i knew it wasnt that and he was also not going forward in canter so we decided to get a back lady out who is well known and was recomended to us. She said that his back was very painfull and that it wasnt caused by anyhing we could have ever done she thought it was caused by being ridden hard under a ill fitting saddle for a while. I just feel i paid alot of money for my horse, we saved to get him because my pony was very very ill with laminitis and off work for a year and i may never beable to ride her again i had all my confidence in her and when you buy another horse to get it home to find he bucks due to a back problem that you paid someone to look out for just feels unfair. I know windgalls causes no problems but to be told the horse had nothing at all wrong worries me because he surely should have said hes sound but..... I dont know if im over reacting but im am worried he may have missed somthing more serious.

Hi Kay. Windgalls aren't a problem and many horses get those after they have been ridden on hard ground but the vet should have picked this up. As for the sore back - a 5 stage vetting should have picked this up if it was causing the horse discomfort. What makes you think your horse has a sore back? He may have injured himself when he was travelled to yours - a lot of horses need their backs checking after a journey in a box or trailer. I think you should get your own vet to check the horse over and then if he thinks the horse has probs you should write a letter of complaint to whoever vetted him. With another vet on side you may be entitled to some compensation if the problems cannot easily be solved. Hope this helps. Kelly

Send them a serious letter of complaint if you have not already! This is out of order and very unprofessional! They should know better, considering you are spending a lot of money on a horse and THEIR vetting therefore they should take responsibility for their outragous behaviour towards their job that they are meant to do properly! Good luck with it! (and change your vet immediatly! lol)
