I have a 6 yr old cob mare who will happily hack out in company and is very responsive with commands and schooling. However, she refuses to hack out alone and will plant four hooves into the ground and refuse to go forward. I have tried methods to get her going forward but this results in rearing/bucking. She is not lame, and her tack is new and was professionally fitted. If the proposed physical checks are clear, is there anything that you can suggest?
