I've got an 18-year-old TB gelding who is great to ride except when we go on a fun ride, he just wants to canter everywhere. I've been advised to put a flash on him - will this slow him down? Is there anything else I could do? He also has a little buck when we start off, I've put this down to excitement as he doesnt do it any other time. I've had his back checked and his teeth done - all was ok there. H'es a good boy, but he can't slow down when we are with other horses.
