Im 16,.. nearly 9 stone & my 12.2 dartmoor cross manages me easily. my mums also sat on him!! horses are alot stronger than people think!

I'm 5'8 1/2 and I ride both a 16.2 and a 14.2 and look and feel fine on either, I think so long as the horse/pony is able to carry your weight, it's up to you what height/build you feel comfortabble with.

im 5 ft 8 and i ride from 15.3 up but im looking for another show jumper at the moment and i just feel uncomfortable riding 15.3hh horses anymore

i would say 16-17hh but it all depends on if you like bigger horses or stay in your comfort zone and stay with the little ones. . .
