My yearling gelding gets bored when tied up and leans back on the rope until the baling string snaps. He does the whole thing so calmly and then wanders straight up to me as if to say ‘look at me and how clever I am’. I don’t praise him, but I can’t scold him for coming up to me either (in case he stops). The reason he does this is because he’s only 1yr and 5 months, 16.2hh and as wide as a boat! Any advice to keep him tied up? I’m worried about really losing him if he ever spooked.
