The more exciteable TBs are probably more prone to injuries as they'll be exerting themselves more, especially in the field where they can slip, trip, twist something, but not all TBs are like this. Hard work especially on hard ground makes injuries more likely for any horse, including TBs, so as long as you gradually build up muscle and tendon strength then they should be prepared for herder work and thus less likely to injure themselves. I had an anglo-arab (arab cross TB) and he was always coming in from the field with cuts and scratches as he had (as TBS do) finer skin and less fur than the other horses he was turned out with, but they were never worrisome, just something to check for every day!
Some TBs are very exciteable and due to capering about tend to injure themselves through trips, slips, twists, etc,. but if you get a laid-back TB then this is less likely to happen. They have fine bones, but this doesn't
