Does anybody else's horses grind their teeth? It makes a really horrible noise. Any way to stop this?

is it when the bit is in their mouth? it could be the fact that he/she is moving the bit around to make it comfortable or the bit is in the wrong part of the mouth.

My 4 year old TB does it when he is doing groundwork and he has to work. i cannot stop him foem doin it and it is a horrid noise.

i agree with everyone ....my mare used to do it ....and i am the same in my sleep so i have been told lol ....she doesn't seem to do it anymore ....she's 33 now but i think it was a habit ...she now and again does it when i put her rug on .....but i wouldn't worry about it .....its a horrid noise i know ....but she be fine ...x hels

It sounds like boredom - ty putting some toys in the stable or just something for him to fiddle with and take his mind off it

a horse a my yard does it they say its stress but he stops doing it when you go over to his stable so i dont know what else to say sorry louise
