There are reputable dealers out there, I have bought my horse from one who was exceptionally helpful and also my friend is one and she won't sell the horse if she feels the humans are wrong for it! I assume you have approached your dealer and been refused a refund or exchange, if that's the case then you might be able to claim that the pony was not as advertised in which case it would come under trade descriptions. Also if you had the pony vetted, how much you tried the pony before you bought it etc. You may need to get another vet to check it in which case if there is something wrong with it and the first vet passed it then you might have a claim against them, I did read of this happening and the vet was held liable just as much as the dealer. You have to keep at it as dealers tend to trade on reputation and if they feel that you won't let it go and it might hurt their business then they might give in and refund your money.
