There has been a spate of horse thefts recently and I’m concerned about my mare’s new foal. How old does a foal have to be before it can be freezemarked?

It’s unnerving when there are thefts in your area. However your foal can’t yet be freezemarked – you will have to wait until he’s somewhere between one year and 18 months old before he can be freezemarked. Your mare, of course can be freeze marked now.
