This may vary depending on where you live and whether you use a farrier or trimmer. A farrier will charge around £20 for a trim (Devon/Dorset). He/she may also charge extra if just coming for one pony or may add travel. As your pony is just a shetland you may be able to negotiate a reduced fee because his feet will be half the size of most horses/ponies!
A trimmer such as an Equine Podiatrist will generally charge more than a farrier and may also charge extras as above. The charge is more because trimmers take a more holistic approach and assess your horses feet and then advise on diet, condition and management with the aim of improving condition of the feet.
