My new horse I noticed today has very large hard skin build up on the insides of her front and back legs. I know this is totally normal for any horse to have this, but hers seems to be very large indeed. Is there a safe way to reduce the size of these? They don't seem to cause her pain or irritation, but they are ugly! She also has this on her hind feet at the very back just above her hoof, I believe them to be a build up of hard skin too. She has lived out totally for the last 3 years.
