My Welsh C has been in a stable all of his life and his mum and dad don't have sweet itch (we knew the previous owners) but he rubs his tail. Could it be the midgies because we bought him when the weather started to get warmer ... he hasn't rubbed any hair off yet, it's more above the tail. I thought it could just be a nice itchy spot (like on the withers) because when I scratch him he loves it. Is there anything to stop him doing it?
