Travel boots or bandages – which are best?
By Your Horse
There’s not much between them, but it makes sense to use travel boots if you’re showing – bandages may leave unattractive imprints on your horse’s legs.

I would always say a pair of properly fitting travel boots are best as they are more comfortable, better for the legs and offer more protection.

i use boots there much quicker to put on and your cant really go wrong! i also put my tendon n fetlock boots underneither, it helps give abit of extra support and also saves you time when you get to your destination as u can just whip your travel boots off .cause if your horse is anything like mine he doesnt wanna stand still while i buckle my tendon n fetlocks up he just wants to go! this way there there ready :)

Defo boots. They are alot safer, and more secure on your horses legs. With bandages, they could be too loose or too tight, which could lead to circulation problems. Boots are defo more practical. x

i find boots to be the better option because a) they are quicker and safer to put on especially of the horse is excitable, and b) you are less likely to fit them incorrectly e.g its easy to apply travel bandages too tightly or unevenly which can cause circulation problems.
