As a minimum I wear a tabbard, 4 leg bands, a tail gaurd, hat band and martingale! If we are going down a busy road then I also put on a rug, and sometimes leg straps round my boots and yellow gloves! We look like christmas trees but we have some dodgy bends and lots of shady trees where I am and especially in autumn, my chestnut horse blends into the trees!

I always ride with vest leg straps and now reflective marrtingale, no excuse they can see my dark bay horse. I had a look at highway code and they say that reflective clothing should be worn. I also read somewhere that if accident occurs and rider is not wearing reflective wear, your insurance could be invalid. sorry to end on a down note! It gives drivers 3 seconds more time to react is you wear reflective gear. Next time driving just see how far you travel in any 3 seconds,it scared the pants off me!!! xx
