ive had 2 gp synthetic saddles and i really liked them. there lightweight, reasonably priced and i find them very comfy. ive never heard of the girth straps breaking tho. wintec do a really good synthetic saddle and they dont cost the earth either. happy saddle shopping.

i love the wintec its the comfiest ive ever ridden in, but id get a saddler to recommend one to fit your horse right as i knowmy wintec doesnt fit perfectly on my tb, hes wide on the shoulders with a high wither so i get the width right but it fall on his withers, but as hes changing shape so much these days hes got a high wither nuumed saddle cloth and a half sheep skin saddle pad and it lifts it of his withers really well. never heard of girth straps breaking though... x
