I can't speak about the magnetic boots that you bought, but I have used magnets on my horses for years in the states with great success. Recently a fellow boarder asked me about magnetic boots and I told her on how I thought they worked and she bought a pair. After a couple of weeks, her farrier, who I do not use, was impressed by the hoof growth.

Not every horse reponds the same way, like people, but it is worth a try as compared to a lame horse.
