As I’m doing more dressage with my mare now, I’ve been advised to buy a dressage saddle, but don’t know which to choose. Any advice?

body as well as feedback from your horse. When riding in a well-fitted dressage saddle you should feel good support for your lower back, and your upper body weight should be directed into your lower leg. This will result in a more central and lighter seat, and a stronger, more stable leg position. Then you’ll find it easier to give aids through your seat and leg, instead of spending your time fighting to maintain a good riding position. Only you and your trainer can establish which saddle offers the best position and comfort. Choose the one that allows your horse the greatest freedom of movement and a secure, comfortable seat.
