I had a similar problem with my 19 yr old when I first got him in January. I tried increasing & increasing his feed but he never put any significant weight on. One weekend I was in my local feed merchants & saw that they had a new supllement in called 'Muscle Up'. It is made by Global Herbs. It worked an absolute treat as within just over a month he was unrecognisable as the same horse. It is a little bit pricey (£18 a fortnight for a 16.1hh TBXID) but very much worth themoney. If that is too much money then you could try just feeding straight fenugreek as it is the main ingredient in 'MuscleUp'. I would also recommend feeding plenty of oil of some kind and maybe some probiotics or yeast to aid digestion. Also, I have found that a mixture of A&P Calm & Condition and fast Fibre is a good diet to increase & maintain condition in my horse. Finally, definitely get her teeth checked by a qualified Equine Dental Technician (you can find a local one for you on the BAEDT website) it is not overly expensive & generally needs doing every 6-12 months. It only cost me £40 to have mine done this year & this involved the dentist travelling over 30 miles to reach me. And, I know this is really obvious & probably unnecessary, make sure she is up to date with her worming. If the situation still doesn'timprove then definitely consult your vet.

Firstly I'd give her a five day course of panacur guard just to make certain sure there's no redworm etc.  I would then use Allen and Page calm and condition, mix it with lots of water and leave to soak for a couple of hours until it is like soup, I have had good results with this.  It might be advisable to get her teeth checked over if she quids, too.  Good luck.
