I have 2 mares, both have had laminitis, one has "Equine Metabolic Syndrome" so is prone to laminitis all year round. I feed pure oat straw chaff plus Top Spec Antilam and Hormonise to them both and my riding mare has a hanful of Graze on which is dried meadow grass.
There is no molasses in this diet or cereals, but it is high fibre and you can feed them plenty, along with controlled grazing; i use electric fence to strip graze and move a couple of posts per day.
hope that helps, it has helped mine.
