I have a 17.2hh six year old horse. He was over-trimmed and developed laminitis in all four feet six weeks ago. He had mild rotation behind only, both hind feet abscessed. All his feet are now cool. He's shod, out during the day and is fed hay and low sugar feeds. He's been re x-rayed and has very little rotation. Will he always be prone to laminitis? Will I have to keep him in in spring? When could he resume work? Are there any products that would help him? He was on Methysal feed supplement.
