Hey, your mare if your mare is a good doer, then i would advise you to put her on a lo-cal diet, such a Bailey, Local balancer, this is perfect for good doers, she is light work and then i would advise you to give her low-enegry feed, this is because, if she is fed something in high-energy, all this energy will be going to waste and be stored as fat. Avoid feeds such as sugarbeet, this is quite fattening, and takes a while to burn off the feeds. Perhaps put her on Chaff, as this takes a while for the horse to eat, and will slow down the eating process. Then perhaps give her a scoop of baileys lo-cal, hope this helps, remeber to wet her feed down :) *duskyteddy* xx
