it depends on a couple of factors. The brand of the food is one of them , some mix has mollassses in them and some do not. For good doers this mollase is not really good. so therefore nuts would be better. Mix does look alot more appetising aqnd my two horses love it. Iv never fed pony nuts, always mix. But i may change next winer as they did gain quite a bit of weight on the mix i had.

It really depends on which mix and which nuts. Nuts are usually cheaper to but as production costs are slightly lower. Some nuts are slightly lower energy than the equivalent mix and some is higher.

If you are not sure what to feed do a bit of research on the feed makers websites or give them a ring. The staff are always really helpful and can point out the pros and cons of different feeds.
