Feed little and often, two or three meals per day with hay. exactly the same as in the summer.

i have always fed twice a day, bascially split the meal into two, so when they go into the field (which is quite poached this time of year) they have had a little breakfast and a pad of hay before being let out, I would rather do it that way, than a bigger meal at night, particularly as they are not being exercised that much this time of year.

Gally gets fed twice a day, Most of the people at my yard feed 3 times a day, but Gally doesnt get enough food for 3 feeds lol. The general rule is 'feed little and often' as horses are not designed to eat one big meal, they are mean to eat little bits almost constantly. Hope I helped a bit. x
