you need to feed a low starch but high fibre diet. i feed my tb 1&1/2 scoops of Alpha A original, 1/4 scoop of high fibre cubes, half a jug of quickbeet and a dollop of vegetable oil and carrots. my boy is so so laidback its unreal! but was underconditioned when i got him and not only has this kept him calm but it has also put condition on him (i swear by the vegetable oil for this). hope this helps xx

I've not long posted a question about the same thing but regarding barley I put my TB on! She changed big time and the only thing I could point to was the barley which I stopped and I rode her yesterday and she was back to the same calm tb!!I feed mine speedy beet,chop,nuts and supplements with carrots. I have tried ALphaOil in the past and its great for weight gain but my saddlery advised me not to use it on my TB or any Aplha products as they feel it can also fizz them up. each horse is different so I think its trial and error but it will take a while for whatever it was fizzing your tb up to work its way out. Someone has recommended a feed on my answer which I have ordered in but can't remember the name so will go and have a look xxx
