My horse sustained a severe ligament injury 10 months ago, which also damaged his fetlock joint.
He still has inflammation in the fetlock joint, which has been treated with steroid injections. Can I use a homeopathic remedy alongside this and, if so, what would you recommend?

Vet Malene Jørgensen replies:
Steroids are often used in an attempt to reduce the inflammation in a joint. Another option is to use hyaluronicacid, which your vet can inject into the joint or systemically into a vein. The effect is not fully understood, but it is thought to restore normal joint fluid, reduce the inflammation in the joint capsule and help the healing process in the joint cartilage.
Homeopathic remedies can also helpand you can easily use these alongside conventional medicine. A good one is RRA – a combination of ruta, rhus-Tox and arnica. These remedies all cover the area of joint capsule and ligaments.
Get the remedy in a 30C potency and give it to your horse twice daily for two to three weeks.
