Tuffa Derby are made from American oiled nubuck leather, is fully insulated with a sponge-backed textile pacifico lining. The rubber combined training sole with stirrup stop and flex line provides outstanding comfort and sure grip. The full length YKK side zip is an innovative design by Tuffa. It incorporates a zip lock feature and Tuffa closure, eliminating damage that can occur to the rear fastening zip.

These boots are very comfortable and took virtually no breaking in. The outer is made from a slightly oily material that repels water, which was great when I was wearing them on the yard. These boots are close fitting and I found the standard fit a little snug but not uncomfortable, and the zip at the side of the boots made putting them on easy.

I found them comfortable to ride in but the lining in these boots is quite spongy, making them feel slightly bulky when in the saddle. I also found them quite warm for summer riding. These are a good everyday boot but personally I’d go for a slightly smarter leather boot for competing.
