I find that most long boots take a long time to break in - especially if they're designed to be close fitting around the ankle. Within two days these boots were comfortable - I didn't get any blisters! They have a really comfy sole and the leather becomes soft quite quickly. I also found that, although I normally suit a slightly wider fit, there was no rubbing or pinching around the toes. I wore these boots in portugal when riding in very hot weather and never felt my feet were overheating.
These boots are suitable for competing, they're extremely smart. However, they're also comfy enough for everyday riding. The zip and popper fastenings are easy to use and the sole if just as described, offering grip, stability and support.
Boots like this are an investment but, for me, they're certainly worth the money. They ooze quality, are extremely comfortable and look great.
