Features: The Racesafe RS2000 Body Protector is a flexible and comfortable body protector available in most colours and to fit most shapes and sizes. The body protector is made up of independently hinged sections to give the rider maximum movement. Shoulder protectors are available as an optional extra to give protection to the shoulders and collar bone.

This protector was a real hit with me. It’s easy to put on and take off with its zip fastening. It moulded beautifully to my body shape with its flexible shell. The lightness of this body protector meant I hardly knew I was wearing it. I wore the protector in conjunction with the Point Two air jacket (see right) at a three-day event in France where the conditions were hot and humid. I was impressed at how breathable this protector was compared to others I’ve worn. It’s quite expensive but I feel the extra cost is worth it. I did think the shoulder pads are expensive and I’m not sure how much additional protection they would provide in a fall. The Race Safe RS2000 is now my chosen body protector to wear at all competitions.

This bp is light, comfortable and flexible to wear but I question its performance in a fall. I've had two falls in the 6/7 years I've owned one. Neither fall was heavy but I fractured ribs both times. The small panels at the side seemed to "punch" my ribcage as I rolled over my elbow. I would not buy another one - sadly

 I bought the Racesafe BP 2010 and it is very good! Love the zip and design, which make it comfortable to wear and easy to get on/off. It is quite expensive but I think it is worth the price. Overall, a smart, comfortable BP which I would recommend! :)
