This stable toy is great and Gus loves it. I had tried him with one of the hanging toys but he was a bit too enthusiastic with it and it was getting a little dangerous! Because this one fixes to the wall it’s much better for him but still keeps him occupied. He has managed to remove the Likits from the holder on more than one occasion, so we have to make sure they are in correctly. I have also found it works better for him if we only put one Likit in rather than two – he has to work harder to get the lick and it keeps him busy for longer!

Gus can get quite stressed when he spends time in his stable and I feel this has definitely helped. If it’s empty, he now nudges it, as if to say, please put a Likit in there for me!

And I don't know if it is just my horse... The likits seem to be irremoveable by me, but my youngster can get them out at the drop of a hat! He has now outdone himself and got the one one the "wall-side" of the ball to drop out, thus jamming the ball and not allowing it to spin, so that I will have to remove the ball from the wall to release it. That said, he has obviously played with it - so in that way, it has obviously done it's job!

This is great for keeping horses occupied, my last pony loved the sport and the garlic licks, and he too would devour them. My recent horse is rather fussy and only likes the molasses flavour, which is difficult to find in my area, so I buy it online

My mare normally has quite a carry on when tacking up, but with the little likits tongue twister shes too busy twisting to get at the likit, that she cant be bothered to mess on with the girth and she wont get the likit until the bridle is in her mouth, so again no fuss there. I did also have a problem with the pulling likits out, but i found a solution :)

My horse loves the tongue twister, a new likit will last about 20mins he won't leave it alone until it's all gone. I to found it difficult to get the empty likit out of the ball so I use a thin nosed pair of plyers in my grooming box and just pull out. Easy when you got the correct tools.

OMG the likit saved my stable doors!! My horse hates being in but the weather here is just so bad in the winter he cant stay out at night! Since we got the likit we have olnly had door bashing when the things been empty and its stopped him playing with the watere pipes so theres no "stable floods" to wake up to in the morning! I like the other found it hard to put in a new likit! SO WHAT DO I DO?? ... get my dad to do it!!!!!!!!!!!

I like this product and find the empty plastic easy to remove if you put your thumbs on either side and pull firmly. I find it easier to remove them from this, than from the Boredom Buster. I only wish that the likits could last longer!

RE: Little Likits Tongue Twister

I bought a few of these and found whilst they were a huge hit with the horses and did indeed do a great job at relieving boredom and stress in the horses, they increased my stress levels a lot due to them being so difficult to remove the empty packaging! we concluded that they were easier to deal with in the warmer weather of the summer but very difficult to change/refresh the likit in the colder weather. I now still use the likits, but I dont use the Tongue Twister with them.
