YH Testers say:
The Powerpick is an interesting concept that certainly works, yet in winter it’s almost too effective on wet feet. Because of how it works, in these conditions you could, without meaning to, dig into the foot too much and we all agreed you’d have to use it with care on horses with soft, sensitive soles. Its other downfall in winter is that the aluminium is so cold, you can’t use it without wearing gloves! But it’s great for difficult-to-shift ice or snow or in summer when feet are filled with concrete-hard mud. The Powerpick seems quite pricey for a hoof pick, although it’s good quality and has its place when conditions allow.
